Barbara Jean Cowart Adams, age 74 of Vidalia, died Wednesday, February 25, 2009. She was a native and lifelong resident of Toombs County, retired from Toombs Manufacturing after 17 years, a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church, and was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Lamar Adams in 1981 and her parents, Hamilton Adams and Mattie Mozelle Garrett Cowart. She is survived by two sons, Jerry R. Adams and wife Gale of Macon and Perry G. Adams of Vidalia, one daughter, Judy E. Adams Buckans of Lyons; three sisters, Thelma Smith and James of Eustis, Fl.; Cora Lee Sanders of Lyons; and Ann Cox and Walton of Savannah; one grandson, Jared R. Adams of Macon and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 28, 2009 at 11:00 am in Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend H. G. Ridgdill officiating. Interment will follow in the Sharpe Cemetery. Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home Savannah Morning News February 27, 2009
