Rollin Heath "Buzz" Pugh (1927- 1991), son of Carl David and Grace Ruick Pugh, was born May 7, 1927, in Herington, Kansas. He was educated in Davenport, Iowa, schools. He enlisted in the US Navy in 1944 and saw action as a frogman in the South Pacific during World War II and was discharged in 1947. Being in the Reserves, he was called back and saw service in Korea and was discharged in May 1953. He was an Illinois State Police Officer from December 1955 until 1961, when he moved to Phoenix, Arizona, where he was an investigator for the State Highway Department.
Rollin Pugh married Yvonne Jane Appenheimer in Toulon October 8, 1950. They divorced in 1972. He later married Paula J. Pollenia in Phoenix, Arizona.
Rollin Pugh died August 5, 1991. He is buried in Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, San Diego, California.
