Born in Canton on Aug. 19, 1933, the son of Henry and Helen (Jansen) Aldrich, he married Vonnie Sill on May 6, 2004, in Lewistown.
She survives, along with three sons, Ron (Janet) Aldrich of St. Petersburg, Fla., Rod (Phyllis Gardener) Aldrich of Kingston Mines and Timothy Gibbons of Chicago; one daughter, Stacy (Dale) Robertson of Canton; two grandchildren, Ryan Aldrich of Peoria and Ron (Laura) Aldrich of St. Petersburg, Fla.; five great-grandchildren; and one brother, Joe (Patricia) Aldrich of Winnemucca, Nev.
Neil retired from N.E. Finch in Peoria in 1995.
He was a member of the AF&AM Masonic-Morning Star Lodge #734 in Canton, the Masonic Blue Lodge of Peoria, the Peoria Consistory and the Canton Elks Lodge.
He truly enjoyed life. He was an avid Harley-Davidson enthusiast and rode many miles.
He was an Army veteran, where he taught marksmanship.
Burial, with military rites, will be in Foster Cemetery in rural Fairview.
