Wayne Clayton Works, age 64, husband of Jacqueline 'Jackie' Rose Etson Works, died Saturday, August 12, 2006 at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center South, Edgewood, Kenton, Kentucky. Mr. Works was a resident of Ft. Mitchell, KY.

Mr. Works was a retired superintendent with T. W. Metals, Inc., Cincinnati, Ohio and a past president of the Independence Lions Club. He was a member of St. Patrick Church in Independence, Brighton Center Seniors and the 'Over 50 Club' at St. Therese Church, Southgate, and the Ryland Anglers Club.

Mr. Works was the son of Clayton Cleary Works, who predeceased him, and Martha Burnett Works, who survived him. He was the grandson of Jefferson Davis Works and Rebecca Ann Hughes Works

Mr. Works, in addition to his wife, Jacqueline, was survived by a son, Jeffery Wayne Works (b:07/23/1967) of Latonia, Kentucky, a brother, Earl Stanley Works (b:12/21/1942), and two sisters, Sharon Works Womble (John Randolph) of Hebron, Kentucky and Martha Ann Works Britton (Archie Donald) of Covington, Kentucky, as well as three grandchildren; Kelsea and Felicia Works and Robbie Young, Jr. Burial was in Independence Cemetery, Independence, KY.

Swindler & Currin Funeral Home in Latonia was in charge of the arrangements. Mass was conducted at St. Patrick Church, Independence, Kentucky on Tuesday, August 15, 2006.
