Mrs. Pearson was born October 7, 1922 in Whitesboro, TX to Herbert Pearl and Leola (Beaver) Boren. She was married to J.T. Dude Pearson in 1941 in Lewisville, Texas. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Denton, and was an active member of the Bungalow class. She taught second grade at Woodrow Wilson elementary for over 25 years. She was also a member of Delta Kappa Gamma and Eastern Star. Mrs. Pearson was a dedicated volunteer at Denton Community Hospital (Presbyterian) for 16 years.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday March 10, 2008 in the chapel of Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home. Rev. Lisa Marshall will officiate the service. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM Sunday March 9 at the funeral home.
Survivors include her daughter, Carole Lee Ward of Sadler; half-sister, Nancy Parker of Edmond, OK; half-brothers, H.P. Boren of Whitesboro, Douglas Boren of Cushing; grandchildren Lauren Ballard, Kyle Long, Leslye Rosin, Kalyn Pearson and Nathan Pearson, and three great granddaughters, McKenna Long, Bethany Ballard, and Indie Rosin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dude Pearson and a son, Dennis Pearson.
The family would like to express their sincerest gratitude for the loving care she received from the staff members at Alterra Sterling House of Denton, The Vintage of Denton, and the Whitesboro Health and Rehabilitation Center.
