PFC LEACH LOSES LIFE
IN VIETNAM

Army Pfc. Earl Gene Leach 22, of Fireco, was killed Friday in Vietnam as a result of hostile action. He was the 39th Raleigh County serviceman to be killed in Vietnam.

Leach was born on Oct 24, 1947, at Lego, a son of Emmett C. and Lola Bolen Leach.

He was a graduate of Stoco High School.

Survivors other than his parents include two brothers, Jimmy and Arnold, both at home, and one sister Mrs. Hazel Robertson of San Antonio, Texas.

The body will be sent to Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home.

Leach, Private Earl Gene, age 22, of Fireco, Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in the Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel, 1901 South Kanawha Street with the Rev. Ernest Barley officiating.

Burial will follow in the Coal City Cemetery
