PAUL S. FITZPATRICK, 78, of Huntington, passed away Friday, February 27, 2009, at Heritage Center nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be 4 p.m. Monday at the Reger Funeral Chapel with Pastor Robert Huron officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Valley Memory Gardens, Huntington. Paul was born August 10, 1930, in Cabell County, W.Va., a son of the late James Monroe and Helen Marie Carter Fitzpatrick. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Jessie Tatum Fitzpatrick; and one brother, James Edwin Fitzpatrick. He was a retired employee of Owens-Illinois Glass Company and had 50 years with the Masons as a member of Crescent Lodge No. 32. Survivors include two sons, Paul Joseph Fitzpatrick and special friend Kathy Young, Robert Samuel (Bonnie) Fitzpatrick, all of Huntington; two step-sons, Davey Lee (Jennifer) Hoover and John Wesley Hoover, all of Tucson, Ariz.; two step-daughters, Bobby Tatum Stanley of Proctorville, Ohio, and Laura Hoover Vivas of Huntington; three grandchildren, Paul Vestal , John Lawrence and Joseph Michael Fitzpatrick; one step-grandson, David (Kristin) Stanley; as well as three great-grandchildren, Jill, Emma and Christopher Fitzpatrick, and step-great-grandchild, Alex Stanley, survive as well. In addition, one brother, Robert Wayne ( Dorothy) Fitzpatrick; a sister, Dolores (Don) Ward and a sister-in-law, Fern Fitzpatrick, all of Huntington. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Reger Funeral Home.
