Dennis Ray Allman 18, senior at Mt. Vernon High School, died in a one-car traffic accident at 1:00 a.m. Saturday, twelve days before he was scheduled to graduate from high school.
Allman was a resident of Mt. Vernon for 13 years and a member of King's Way Christian Church.
Survivors include his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Dennis Ray (Sue) Allman, Mt. Vernon; a brother, James, and two sisters Karen and Lori, all of the home; his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Beulah Allman, Aurora; his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Thurman, Aurora.
Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday in King's Way Christian Church with the Rev. Jerry Sorensen officiating. Burial was at the Mt. Vernon IOOF Cemetery under the direction of Max L. Fossett Funeral Home.
