Emma was the daughter of Stephen Manner & Susanna Sonik.

She married William H. Sprinkle in 1937. Their children are listed in her obituary, below.

KNOXBORO - Emma L. Sprinkle, 97, a long time area resident, passed away peacefully on Feb. 13, 2014, at Crouse Memorial Hospital in Syracuse.

She was born on June 12, 1916, in Mansfield, Ohio, the daughter of the late Stephen and Suzanne Manner. As a young child, her family relocated to Brookfield and Emma graduated from Brookfield High School. She later went on to nursing school and was a care giver to physically and mentally challenged children. Emma loved flowers, gardening and enjoying long walks in the Knoxboro area with her daughter, Karan. She also enjoyed traveling, especially her trip to Alaska. Emma will most be remembered as a devoted loving mother and grandmother.

Emma is survived by her loving children, Barbara "Tudy" Andrews of Oriskany Falls, Jack Sprinkle of Pilot Mountain, N.C., Karan (Leon) Johnson of Knoxboro, Linda (James) Cronin of Vernon Center, Jerry "Bucky" Sprinkle of Ocean Ridge, Fla., Robert (Mirasol) Sprinkle of Madison, and LouAnn (Robert) Spargo of Pilot Mountain, N.C..; many grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and many great-great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, William; her son, James; and her step-children, Margaret, William Jr. and Violet.

Emma's family extends a special thanks to Dr. Nathan Keever, the nurses and the staff of Hamilton's Community Memorial Hospital SNK Unit for the care given to Emma. Also, her family gives a special thank you to Mari Dee and Dennis Dukette for always caring and being there for Emma.
Funeral services will be held in the spring at a time to be announced at the Paul Funeral Home of Madison. There will be a visitation prior to the service in the spring. Interment will be in Augusta Cemetery.

Emma, a devoted care giver, would ask that donations be made in her name to help other by donating to Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc., 4277 Middle Settlement Road, New Hartford, New York 13413.
