Motel Manager. For over 25 years, she managed the Breakwater Motel in Provincetown. Born and raised in Malden, Mass., she was the daughter of the late Preston and Dorothy Baker. She graduated from, and was class valedictorian for, Brown University in Providence. After graduation, she traveled throughout Europe writing articles for various publications, but eventually settled in Provincetown because of her love of fishing. She also enjoyed snorkeling, reading, making jewelry and travel. She loved all people and animals unconditionally. She never said no to a friend, stranger or animal in need. She had a kind heart, generous soul and a warm, welcoming smile. She was devoted to her job and friends and will be missed by all. She was a committed supporter of the Provincetown Public Library and the World Wildlife Fund.
