Charlie worked for several years for the Sanitation Bureau, Worcester Public Works, retiring in the late 1960s. He had almost a lifelong battle with diabetes, like his mother and grandmother.
He died at his home on Franklin St, at the age of fifty and on his youngest brother, Butch's birthday. At the time of his death he left four sons (by his former wife Shirley)-James M, Charles R, Paul and Steven Fenner, a daughter, Lynn Anne Fenner, three brothers, six sisters and four grandchildren.
