Mary Osborne, 93, of Waco, passed away Saturday, Feb. 28, 2009, at a local nursing home. Graveside services will 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, at Rosemound Cemetery with Dr. Wayne Blackshear officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 2, at Bellmead Funeral Home.

Mary was born in Malone, Texas, to the late C. P. and Roxie Ann (Sevier) Gunter. She worked for HEB in the Meat Dept. and retired after 20 years of service. Mary was a descendant of Governor John Sevier, the first governor of Texas, and Robert Sevier, of Tennessee, who was killed in the Battle at King's Mountain in the American Revolution. She was a member of Westwood Baptist Church, formerly the Turner Street Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, O.A. Hill in September, 1979; second husband, Calvin Osborne; a granddaughter; a great-granddaughter; three brothers; and three sisters.

Survivors include her daughters, Billie Boatman and husband, Marion, of Elk, and Mary James and husband, C. L., of Robinson; grandchildren, Donald Easter, Roger Easter and wife, Cindy, Dennis Easter and wife, Cathy, James McCullough and wife, Karen, Darrell McCullough, Tammie McCullough, Carlton James and wife, Shelly, Keith Boatman, and Vicki Simpson and husband, Gary; 14 great-grandchildren; 19 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Annie Fletcher, of Waco, and Maxine Whitney, of Amarillo; and several nieces and nephews.
