Floyd was the son of Arthur W. Webb and Alice Gertrude Carpenter. He was a shy boy born in Oklahoma but lived most of his life in western Texas. He married Jeanette Fleet on March 14, 1950 and they had 2 children. He loved horses and the outdoors. He worked hard in the cotton fields and later with cattle. He was also known as "Doc" because he performed surgery on a chicken to remove a foreign object lodged in it's throat. He closed the incision with sewing thread & needle.... the chicken survived!! After retiring, he enjoyed gardening while living in Mt.View, Arkansas. He was known for his honesty and loyalty. Those who knew him were fortunate to have known a man of such outstanding moral character.
