Funeral services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Cathedral for William O. LaCroix, 1209 South Benton, who died Friday. Mr. LaCroix, 73 years old, was born December 12, 1894 in Gordonville.
He was married on August 18, 1917, at Advance to Miss Dewey Davis who survives him. Other survivors are five sons, Dennis LaCroix, Illmo, James LaCroix, St. Louis, Paul LaCroix, Overland, Glen LaCroix who is stationed with the Navy in South Carolina, and Bernard LaCroix, Granite City, Illinois; three daughters, Mrs. Delbert Masterson, Cape Girardeau, Mrs. Peter Carroll, Roxana, Illinois, and Mrs. Ronald Strange, Senatobia, Mississippi; a brother, Lawrence LaCroix, Wauconda, Illinois; three sisters, Mrs. Leo Brooks, Cape Girardeau, Miss Anna LaCroix and Mrs. Bill Kiel, both of St. Louis, 30 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Mr. LaCroix was formerly a farmer, then a machine operator who retired from Emerson Electric Company in St. Louis. He had lived in Cape Girardeau, St. Louis, Madison County, Illinois, Patton Junction and had returned to Cape Girardeau one and a half years ago.
The Rev. Bosco Westrich will be in charge of services at the cathedral. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery.
Parish prayers will be said at Walthers Funeral Home Sunday at 7:30. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 tonight.
