Mrs. Brubaker, a registered nurse, died Tuesday at her residence. She had been a resident of Colorado Springs since 1947, and had been employed at Penrose Hospital for 12 years.

She was born June 30, 1908, in Waterloo, Iowa. She was a graduate of Pulaski County Hospital School of Nursing in Little Rock, Ark. She was affiliated with the First United Methodist Church in Colorado Springs and with Colorado Nurses Association District 3. In 1970 Mrs. Brubaker, fifth floor surgical head nurse at Penrose Hospital, was named nurse of the year by the District 3 members of the Colorado Nurses Assn.

Mrs. Brubaker is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Barbara Singmaster of Colorado Springs; five brothers, Don Adams of San Gabriel, Calif., George Adams of Rockford, Mich., Robert Adams of Mt. Vernon, Wash., Carl Adams of East Moline, Ill., and David Adams of DePue, Ill.; a sister, Mrs. Louise Bedtley of Englewood, Calif.; and three grandchildren.

Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

NOTE: Ruth Brubaker's obituary misidentified some of her surviving siblings. The following correction should be as follows: "Don" should "John" Sturgis Adams of San Gabriel and Mrs. Louise "Bedtley" should be last name "Bentley" of Englewood.
