Georgetta and her husband Sam were among the founders of the Moreno Valley Art Association and was active in many other community groups from the 1950's through the 1990's.

Preceeded in death by her husband Sam in 1985, with whom she owned Sunnymead Hardware, (Ace Hardware) in Moreno Valley from 1962 until her retirement in 1978.

Georgetta met and married Sam in Sunnymead in 1936, they had one daughter, Melinda, who was lost to cancer in 1979, Georgetta was also preceded in death by seven brothers and two sisters.

Georgetta is survived by, two brothers, Wayne Grubb of Long Beach and Forrest Grubb of La Quinta, as well as two sisters, Mildred Jones of Riverside and Barbara Briggs of Long Beach. She is survived by nephew Jerry Bradley of Moreno Valley and her son-in-law Dick Heil of Moreno Valley and Corona, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
