Miss Katherine Haas, 79, and a resident of this vicinity for the past sixty-two years, died very suddenly at the home of her brother Frank on Monday morning. Death was very sudden and unexpected and resulted from an attack of heart disease.

The deceased was born in Germany on December 5th, 1859, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Haas. She came to the United States when a child, the family settling in the town of Beaver Dam, where she had since made her home.

She is survived by the following brothers and sisters: Sister Materna of St. Louis, Mo.; Mrs. Angela Fell of Campbellsport; Conrad, Phillip and Frank Haas of the town of Beaver Dam. Two sisters preseded her in death, Mrs. Elizabeth Stoffel of Campbellsport who died three years ago, and Sister Paterna who died in New Orleans fifteen years ago.

The funeral services were held at nine o'clock yesterday morning at St. Peter's church with burial in St. Peter's cemetery. The services were conducted by Rev. Theo. Rohner. Six nephews acted as pall bearers.
