Albert E. Cross, 61, died Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2002, at his home, after a brief illness.

He was born in Akron and had been an Akron resident for most of his life. He was employed at the Tech Center of Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. for over 35 years, retiring in 2001. He also very active in the Goodyear United Steelworkers Union Local 2 and had served as a union repre sentative. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

Mr. Cross is survived by his be loved wife of 29 years, Ella; daugh ters, Christina (Matthew Trent) Piercy of Akron and Kelly Cross of Akron; granddaughter, Miranda Trent; brothers, John (Joanne) Cross and Harry Cross; brother-in-law, Mark (Michelle), all of Akron; sister-in-law, Barbara Allen of San Antonio, Texas; father and mother-in-law, Walter and Marian Allen of Norton; many nieces and nephews; and was preceded in death by his mother, Leona Billow, and sister, Gloria Paulin.
