Obituary - Astrid Marie Lind Allred Atkinson, 90, passed away on April 6, 1990 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
She was born February 10, 1900 in Murray, Utah to Axel L. and Margaret Westlund Lind.
Married Harold B. Allred on November 23, 1927 in the Salt Lake Temple; he preceded her in death. Married Earl Atkinson; he preceded her in death also.
She was a member of the LDS Church. Served a teaching mission in 1924-1926 in the Hawaiian Islands. She held many positions in the church including choir director for the Highland Park Ward for many years.
Member of the National Audobon Society. Taught in elementary education for thirty years in the Jordan School District and retired from the Salt Lake School District. Attended USU and graduated from the University of Utah.
She is survived by her son, Avery L. and his wife Cleo of Murray; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; sister, Jenny; and brother, Arthur. Preceded in death by her daughter, Carol Leimomi Nelson.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 10, 1990 at 11:00 a.m. in MacKay Cottonwood Mortuary Chapel, 4670 South Highland Drive, where friends may call one hour prior to the services.
Interment: Salt Lake City Cemetery.
