Died - Adolph Stroh on Jan. 15, 1929 at Fremont. He was born at Kiel, Holstein, Germany on April 1, 1857. He married Helene Gurges in Germany and they came to the USA 48 years ago. His brother was Louis Stroh. In 1884 Adolph started a meat market in Hooper. Mrs. died about 12 years ago. The children are Mrs. E. E. Coston of Omaha, Richard of Hooper and Henry of Missoula, Mont.

Adolph Stroh

Adolph Stroh was born April 1, 1857 in Kiel, Holstein,
Germany and came to America in 1882.
For several years after coming to America he worked with
his brother, Louis in the contracting and building work.
In 1889 Mr. Stroh started a meat market at the present
location and has filled the wants of the trade, and is well
known for miles around Hooper.
Adolph Stroh was married to Helen Gurges, to which union
three children were born, the eldest a girl, Dora, second,
Richard at home assisting his father in the market, and Henry,
now a resident of Omaha.
For a number of years Mr. Stroh was afflicted with a
severe attack of rheumatism but, through a thorough treatment
at Hot Springs was entirely cured.
Mr. Stroh is a good entertainer, is well posted on
affairs both state and national in this country as also in
Germany, is a great reader and a deep thinker.
