William Jasper McClintock was born in Hardeman County, Tennessee on January 7, 1860 to Harmon Leamons McClintock and Bashby Caroline Shelton. Will was the second of their 8 children. On December 6, 1883, he married Sarah Ailsie Ann “Sallie” Brint. Will and Sally were members of the Powell's Chapel Methodist Church. Will farmed in the Powell's Chapel Community of Hardeman County his entire life until his death on November 20, 1944, at the age of 84. He is buried in Wyatt Cemetery.

Will and Sallie were the parents of 10 children, 2 of whom died in infancy:
