Obituary
Alice Belle Allen was born July 27, 1881, at Phillips, Nebr., was the third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Allen. During her childhood and young womanhood, she resided in this section with her parents. She was united in marriage to Claud Pechin. To this union were born three children who are living, Mark, Dorothy and Earl, who reside at Gering. The last illness was of only a few days' duration, death coming very suddenly, relatives here not knowing of any immediate danger until the message of her death was received. Deceased passed away at her home in Gering, July 16, 1924, at the age of 42 years, 11 months and 19 days.

The funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at four o'clock from the Christian church, Rev. Harry K. Franks officiating. Relatives from a distance who were in attendance were her mother, Mrs. Andrew Allen, sister, Mrs. Jesse Bowlin, and Mrs. Otto Mankin, all of Phillips, Mrs. George Dixon of Scottsbluff, Mrs. Frank Fulton and daughter mae of Sioux city, Iowa, Mrs. Dave Brown of Dalton, Mrs. Ike Lysinger of Ansley, a sister-in-law. Besides the husband, three children, six sisters and one brother and her mother are left to mourn. Burial was made in the Gering cemetery.
