Emily Adamson, daughter of Henry and Nancy Huddlestun was born near Yale, Illinois, June 17, 1863, and departed this life October 21, 1950 at the age of 87 years, 4 months and three days.
Mrs. Adamson passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Metz of Sumner, Illinois.
She was united in marriage to Alfred M. Adamson in October 1884. To this union four children were born. Her husband preceded her in death on April 28, 1932.
She leaves to mourn her departure her four children, Hugh of Greenup, Luella of Sumner and Ardella and Charles of St. Louis. 25 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Anna Hepner of Yale, one brother, Mace Huddlestun of Naylor, Missouri and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was united in the Bethany (Baptist) Church near Point Pleasant many years ago. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, a good neighbor and loved by all who knew her. She will be sadly missed by all.
Funeral services were held at the Bishop Funeral Home, Monday, October 23, by the Rev J. E. Spencer. Interment was in the Debord Cemetery.
