Funeral services for Donald H. Snider, 76, of Sheridan were 11 a.m. today at Trinity Lutheran Church with the Revs. Ronald Nelson and Wilbur Holz officiating. Interment was in the Sheridan Elks Cemetery. Viewing was Monday at Champion Ferries Funeral Home. Mr. Snider died Thursday, April 12, 2001, in Sheridan Manor. He was born Aug. 26, 1924, in Rawlins to Clinton and Emma (Highley) Snider. He came to Sheridan as a senior in high school and graduated from Sheridan High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served in the Pacific during World War II. He returned to Wyoming after the war and went to work for Montana-Dakota Utilities in Sheridan in 1950. He married Myra Buckley Jan. 9, 1979, in Casper. He retired in 1985. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and Fort Phil Kearny/Bozeman Trail Association and a life member of Elks Lodge #520. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, woodworking and the Denver Broncos. He was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey, and daughter, Renea. Survivors include his wife of Sheridan; a sister, Francis Kerns of Tulsa, Okla.; two stepsons; a stepdaughter; two grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and 14 step-great-grandchildren. Memorials may benefit Trinity Lutheran Church.
