Mrs. Rose Gostomski

Thorp - Mrs. Rose Gostomski, 79, Route 1, Thorp, died at her home on Saturday.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Hedwig's Chapel in Thorp, with burial to follow in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call from 3-9 p.m. today at the Thorp Funeral Home, where a parish rosary will be recited at 8 tonight.

The former Rose Gliniecki was born May 30, 1902 in Thorp to Mr. and Mrs. Peter (Martha Pietrowski) Gliniecki and received her education in the Stratford schools. She was married to Frank Gostomski Jan. 17, 1922 in Stratford. He preceded her in death. She had been a resident of the Thorp area for the past 38 years.

Survivors include six sons, Lawrence, Thorp, Frank Jr, Sequim, Wash., Richard, Owen, Dennis, Moore Haven, Fla., Victor, Houston, Texas, and John, Omaha, Neb.; six daughters, Mrs. Lorraine Graikowski, New Berlin, Mrs. Edith Staron, Wisconsin Dells, Mrs. Harriet Shay, Chicago, Mrs. Rose Mary Abramowicz, Lublin, Mrs. Rita Haas, Greenwood, and Mrs. Phyllis Butek, Thorp; four sisters, Mrs. Harriet Moberg and Mrs. Nettie Zygarlicke, both of Marshfield, Mrs. Wanda Manika, North Riverside, Ill. and Mrs Angeline Harpst, Oak Park Ill. 55 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husbank, she was predeceased by a son, Arnold.
