Lindstrom, Evelyn M. Strickland of 338 Senator Avenue, Sacramento, entered into rest, September 29, 1991. A native of Sacramento. Born in Coalinga, California, during a road trip from Oakland.Aged 75 years.
Beloved wife of the late Warner Lindstrom and 2nd Milton Strickland. Loving mother of seven children:; Evelyn, Marjorie, Larry, Wanda, Barbara, Joyce and Judy; Grandmother of 22 and Great Grandmother of 38.; Sister of Alberta Pfarr and Lynette Miller. Also survived by many friends, nieces and nephews.
Funeral held October 3, in the Sunset Lawn Chapel of the Chimes, 4701 Marysville Blvd., Sacramento. Interment, Sunset Lawn Memorial Park.

FAMILY STORIES and BIRTH INFORMATION
Evelyn's family never lived in Coalinga, Fresno, CA., that we know of. Her parents were living in San Francisco and decided to take a motorcycle ride, not realizing that they may have a baby along the way, which they did. Family stories state that she was delivered by a veterinarian in Coalinga, CA. They named her Mary Elizabeth Reed, and later started calling her Evelyn after her fathers mother. Evelyn never knew this until late in her life when she had to officially get her name changed to what she had been called all her life, through the "Affidavit to Correct a Birth Record" See below.
Note the name of her Father as Alfred Marcellus Reed Not George Reed as stated on other daughters Birth Certificates.
