EDINBURG - Lillian E. Grieme, 83, of Edinburg died at 1:47 a.m. Friday, March 6, 2009, at Taylorville Care Center.

She was born April 4, 1925, in Christian County, the daughter of Leroy H. and Gladys Mae (Reimer) Bartling. She married Lloyd E. "Joe" Grieme on March 16, 1945, in Marietta, Okla.; he preceded her in death on July 23, 1996.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Vernon Bartling; and a sister, Mildred Morgan.

She is survived by three daughters, Ruth Magos of Mesa, Ariz., Paula Adams of Edinburg and Joanne (husband, David) Dexheimer of Antioch; grandchildren, Dale (wife, Lisa) Bonacorsi of Rochester, Lynn (husband, Steve) Wicks of Edinburg, Chris (husband, Donnie) Stephens of Taylorville, Missy Dexheimer of Antioch and Shaun Dexheimer (fiancee, Jen Smith) of Cudahy, Wis.; great-grandchildren, Samantha Hymes, Kryshna and Gunnar Stephens, Kira, Teagan and Paden Wicks and Zach and Eric Bonacorsi; a great-great-granddaughter, Gabrielle Seaver; and several nieces and nephews.

Lillian retired as a bank teller from First National Bank in Taylorville and Citizens Bank of Edinburg. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Edinburg.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, March 8, 2009, at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, March 9, 2009, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Edinburg, with Pastor Gaylord Spilker officiating. Lillian's body will lie in state one hour prior to services in the church. Burial will be at Edinburg Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church of Edinburg or the Alzheimer's Association or Taylorville Memorial Hospital Hospice.

Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville is in charge of arrangements.
