Newton Man Passes Away Friday Night

Victim of Paralysis For Many Years Dies Friday Evening. Rites Held Today
A long Illness ended Friday evening about 9 o'clock when Noel Young succumbed at his home about five miles west of Pleasant Hill, near Pattytown. Mr. Young a victim of paralysis for the past 15 years was stricken with pneumonia several days ago, which terminated in his death. He was 74 years of age. The deceased, a retired Miami County farmer is well known with many friends throughout the community. He was a member of the West Branch Friends Church at Ludlow Falls. Immediate survivors include the widow, Mrs. Della Young; four daughters Mrs. Ethel Coppock, and Mrs. Pauline Schultz of Pleasant Hill, Mrs. Hazel Thomas of Ludlow Falls, and Mrs. Cleo Whitstone of Troy; two sons Joe Young of Dayton, and Francis Young of Ludlow Falls; twelve grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive. Funeral services were conducted this afternoon at the Congregational Christian Church in Pleasant Hill at 2 o'clock with Rev. W. G. Kershner officiating. Interment was made in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery under the direction of Roy. H. Miller of West Milton.
