Resident of Charlotte for More Than 20 Year - Funeral at 19 South Harrill Street at 2:30 Today.
Mrs. J. D. Caddell, for more than 20 years a resident of Charlotte, died in Greensboro yesterday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. P. Sander. During the past year she had lived with her daughter in Greensboro, but had been in failing health for over a year and during her stay in Greensboro was confined to her bed. Ms. Caddell was 73 years old, having been born in Moore county.
The body was brought to Charlotte last night and the funeral services will be conducted this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the home of J. C. Cadell, 19 South Harrill street. Rev. R. D. Carroll, pastor of the Allan Street Baptist church will be in charge of the services.
Mrs. Caddell is survived by the following daughters and sons: Mrs. Eva Helms, Charlotte; Mrs. J. P. Sanders, Greensboro; Mrs. T. P. Thornton, Charlotte; Mrs. Charles Moore, Charlotte; Mrs. M. L. Sherrill, Hickory; and Clem Caddell, Atlanta; J. C. Cadell Charlotte; J. S. Caddell, of Charlotte. Two brothers also survive, Blake Manness, Moore county, and Asa Manness, Cumberland county.
