Ora Otto Babb, retired-Pennsylvania Railroad freight conductor, died at 7:15 a.m. Friday at his home, 600 Burlington Ave, following a heart attack. Death occurred one day before his 72nd birthday. Born Sept. 10, 1888, in Cass county to James and Jane Vernon Babb, he was a member of the Salem church and the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen.

He is survived by his wife, Bertha; three daughters, Mrs. Olive Harvey, 216 Eighth St; Mrs. Eva Pitman, 1505 Spear St.; and Mrs. Esther Zartman, 1224 Cummings St.; a son, James Lowell Babb, 616 Burlington Ave.; and ten grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Ross, city; and Mannie, route 2, Walton; and a half-brother, Frank, route 2, Walton.

The body is at the McCloskey-Hamilton-Kahle funeral home.
