S.B. Jenkins Funeral Saturday
Samuel B. Jenkins, 82, of the Williamsburg Nursing Home died at 1:30 a.m. Thursday in Hendrick Memorial Hospital following an long illness.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. in Elliott's Chapel of Memories with the Rev. F.R. Cole, retired Baptist pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park.
Born March 14, 1889, at Crews, he married Ethel Edith Goats in 1909. The couple moved to Abilene from Content in 1942. He worked for McMurray College before retiring.
Survivors are his wife; three daughters; two brothers; one sister, Mrs. Bertha Fleming of Corpus Christi; seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
