11 WARNER siblings: William, Eveline, Laura Smith, Charles Calvin, Rebecca McWhinney, Mary Charlotte Fairchild, Maria Jane Sears, Lewis Cass, George Valorus, Cordelia Bailes & Dennison & Slawson, [Self], and Mabelia Barton. [Not in correct birth order.]
She was born in Ontario Co., New York. (Two different dates given: Feb. 5, 1824 and Feb. 8, 1825. The last date corresponds to the date on her headstone.)
Amanda married Henry J. Donnelly on April 10, 1856, and they were the owners of the Donnelly House/Hotel in Mason, Ingham, MI where they lived for 40 years. They had previously settled in Napoleon, Jackson, MI. [See Obituary here.]
There is little doubt that her father, David C., Jr. stayed for some time in their hotel, either for a visit or as a honored resident.* Perhaps her mother, Olive, was able to enjoy a visit there, too. No one knows.
Amanda and Henry had no children.
Russell-10 Lewis Warner writes: "At some point, they offered a sum of money if one of the relatives would name their next boy-child after Henry Donnelly. This was done by Amanda's nephew, Calvin Franklin "Frank" Warner and his wife Charlotte Almira Croninger. Their last child was named after Henry, who was born around the time that his father "Frank" had a leg amputated due to festering injures suffered in the Civil War. The money received was probably a great help during this family's time of deprivation and sorrow."
