Rachel Louise Dunn Lander, 79, of Brandon, MS passed away Sunday, March 8, 2009, in McComb, MS.
She is survived by her sons, Ellis Lander, Rodney Lander and Bill Lander; daughter, Kay Troxler; nine grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 10, 2009, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Caswell Springs United Methodist Church, 18601 Highway 63, Wade, MS. Funeral service will begin at 3:00 p.m. burial will follow in Caswell Springs United Methodist Church cemetery. Heritage Funeral Home in charge of arrangements, locally owned and operated.

Rachel Louise Dunn Lander- 79 of Brandon, MS; passed away March 8, 2009 in McComb, MS. Mrs. Lander was born on November 8, 1929 in Thorn, MS. She was a secretary with various churchs, legal offices, banks and schools. She was member of Caswell Springs United Methodist Church in Wade, MS. She enjoyed singing in church choirs where her husband Rev. Pete Lander, served as a Methodist minister across south Mississippi; numerous circles, bible study groups, youth ministry-whenever the doors were open, she was there to help, with her four children in tow. She was also a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Pete Lander; her parents, Andrew Jackson Dunn Jr. and Jessie Clark Dunn; her brother, Andrew Dunn, and her sisters, Gladys and Alice Dunn. She is survived by her son, Ellis Lander and wife Darnell of Saucier, MS, Rodney Lander and wife Peggy of Saucier, MS, Bill Lander and wife Libby of McComb, MS, Kay Troxler and husband Tom of Brandon, MS; nine grandchildren, Shane Lander, Todd Lander, Dan and wife Faith Lander, Amanda Benefield and husband Daryl, Blake Lander, Courtney and husband Will Smith, Justin Lander, Drew and wife Abby Troxler, Kimsey and husband Alan McCormick; eight great grandchildren, Rileigh, Shaylyn, Oscar, Tyler, Cameron, Ian, Foster, Raven, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
