Entry in Sexton ledger says Mrs. Lenora Ticknor, born in GA, died age 71 at Auburn, AL, of Exophthalmic Goitre (also called Grave disease) and buried November 17, 1932 in Lot 348 of Section C, sexton W. B. Miller. (Note that the preceding entry is for Miss Lizzie Ticknor, age 79, who was buried November 15, 1932 in the Old Cemetery section. There has probably been some conflation of these two entries. She is Memorial #33737333)

I would like to suggest a couple of changes for Lenora Ticknor. You list her middle name as Younger, however I believe that the name was actually Mounger. Her parents were George Stewart and Augusta Weaver. Augusta Weaver Stewart's mother was Caroline Mounger, thus the middle name.
I have a copy of a letter written by Lenora Ticknor in 1913 to my 2X great-aunt, Mary Jane Mounger Wilson, about her (Lenora's) Mounger ancestry. Mary Jane Mounger Wilson and Lenora Stewart Ticknor were second cousins 1X removed (That would make Mrs Ticknor my third cousin 3X removed).

I would also like to suggest a change to her death date. Her death certificate (available on ancestry.com) lists her d.o.d. as 16 Nov 1932. [Note: Ancestry does not have death certificate available for Alabama, only abstracts in two index databases. This may be confusion with the Georgia death certificates available, including the one for MIss Lizzie Ticknor who died November 14, 1932 in Columbus]

The following from [email protected], 2/12/2012
Her full name was Leonara Younger Stewart Ticknor
Her birth was 01 Jul 1861 +Chunanugga, Alabama
Her husband was George William Ticknor who also died in Columbus but is not [sic] listed
They were married 02 Sep 1886 in St. Clair Springs, Alabama
she died in Lee County, Alabama according to my information
[+probably Chunnenuggee. Note the following from the Encyclopedia of Alabama: "Union Springs, the county seat of Bullock County, is located in the Black Belt region of eastern Alabama. The first European settlers arrived in the area after the Creek Indian removal of the 1830s and gave the town its name because of the 27 springs flowing from the nearby Chunnenuggee Ridge."]
