Anna is the granddaughter of Tristram Barnard & Lydia Gardner, and of Samuel Paddock & Deborah Coleman, all of Nantucket.

This obituary cites one surviving brother, A.H.Barnard. The only surviving brother was A.B.Barnard, aka Ambrose Burnside Barnard. I believe the name of her surviving brother is a typographical error.

Published in the "The New Castle Times" (New Castle, Indiana) on Saturday, May 7, 1927:

"MRS. ANNA HINSHAW

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Elsie Kuhn, of Cambridge City, Mrs. Amy Wright of Greensboro and Miss Zola Hinshaw of this place three sons, Lloyd Hinshaw of Spiceland, Herbert Hinshaw and Russel Hinshaw of this place and a brother, A. H. Barnard of Kennard.

Mrs. Hinshaw was born near Cottage Grove in Union County. She is the widow of Alonzo Hinshaw who died some 27 years ago.

Friends may call to view the body at any time."
