Anna Bloomquist Services in Magnet

Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Bloomquist, 85, were held Tuesday afternoon, May 25th at the Church of Christ at Magnet, Nebraska. The grandsons served as pall bearers. Services were under the direction of Solso Funeral Service of Laurel. Interment was made in the Magnet Cemetery.

Mrs. Bloomquist had been a resident of the Magnet community for 58 years. She was born in Smolan, Sweden, April 19, 1869 the daughter of John and Christin Nelson. At the age of 13 she came to America with an aunt and settled at Essex Iowa. 'She was married to Frank Bloomquist on February 27, 1896 and lived near Magnet since that time. She was a member of the Church of Christ there.

Mr. Bloomquist died April 24, 1952. Two sons also preceded her in death. She died Saturday, May 22, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Bert Mitchell, where she has lived for the past year.

Survivors are; three sons, Martin Bloomquist and Harold Bloomquist of McLean; Paul Bloomquist of Waterloo, Iowa; four daughters Mrs. Helen Mitchell, Belden, Mrs. Ethel Bhrend, Wausa, Mrs. Edna Stohl, Dos Palos, California, Mrs. Doris Becker, Norfolk; 25 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren and 3 sisters.

Magnet, Neb. - Special; Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Church of Christ here for Mrs. Anna Bloomquist, 85, a resident of the Magnet community for 58 years who died Saturday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Helen Mitchell of Belden, Neb. Burial will be in the Magnet cemetery under the direction of the Solso funeral home of Laurel.

Mrs. Bloomquist was born April 1, 1869, in Smolma, Sweden. She came to the United States with an aunt at the age of 13 and settled at Essex, Ia. She was married, February 27, 1896, to Frank Bloomquist. He died in 1942.

Survivors are three sons, Martin and Harold both of McLean, Neb., Paul of Waterloo, Ia., four daughters, Mrs. Mitchell, Mrs.
