Caryle Louise (Ravenscroft) Follens, 88, passed away March 2, 2009. Caryle's outgoing personality and zest for life endeared her to those she met. An avid dancer and Life Master Duplicate Bridge player, she traveled around the world shopping, playing bridge and making friends. Caryle lived most of her life in Tulsa and had a successful career as a bookkeeper in the oil industry.

Born August 9, 1920 to Nellie Mae (Madison) and Lot "Tex" Ravenscroft, Caryle graduated in 1938 from Central High School.

She is survived by two granddaughters: Stephanie and husband Michael Thompson of Edmond, OK; Shelby and husband Scott Fletcher of Paradise Valley, AZ; two great-granddaughters Micah and Avery; a step-daughter Gay Carrington; step-grandchildren Chris Chilcoat and Jamie Titus; sister-in-law Bette Ravenscroft, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, J.G. Follens; son, Richard Welcher; brother Johnnie Ravenscroft and sister Pauline Ravenscroft.

Caryle will lie in state from 10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. Thursday with a funeral service 2:00 p.m. Friday, both at Ninde Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Alzheimer's Association, 6465 South Yale, Suite 312, Tulsa, OK 74136-7810 (918.481.7741)
