Essie Mae Ivy Gahagan, 52, of Red Bay, died Oct 22, 1973 at the Tishomingo Co. Hospital in Iuka. A native of Tishomingo, Co., being born on May 07, 1921, in Mississippi. She was a member of the Church of God of Prophcey in Red Bay.

Services were Oct. 23rd. From the Church of God of Prophecy. Burial was in the Belmont Memory Gardens with Deaton Funeral Home of Belmont in Charge.

Survivors included her husband, Fred Gahagan of Red Bay; three sons, David of Huntsville, Charles of Red Bay, and Billy of Jasper; two daughters. Mrs. Euthal Grimes of Tupelo, and Mrs. Marilyn Farris of Huntsville; her step- mother, Leona Guntharp Ivy of Red Bay; three brothers, Truman Ivy of Dennis, Tulon and Chester both of Red Bay,; one sister, Allie Ivy Brown, of Red Bay; five half brothers, Clayton and Gordon Ivy both of Forrest City, Ark., Maynard and Shelby both of Fulton, and Harold Ivy of Tupelo; one half sister, Mrs. John (Ruby) Wescott, of Chicago; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; George Wesley Ivy and Myrtie Edomine Gregory Ivy.
