**William O'Neal Aldridge, 72, son of the late Joseph Aldridge and Mary Bellams Aldridge, was born November 8, 1906 at Tyrone, Mo. and died Dec. 10, 1978 at St.
John's Regional Health Center after a long illness.
Mr. Aldridge was a life long resident of this area and was retired from the State Highway Department.
He is survived by his wife, Lena of the home, six sons, Colonel Donald O'Neal Aldridge, Washington D.C; William, Peoria, IL.; Robert, Oklahoma City, Okla.; James, Kansas City, Mo.; Joseph, Memphis, Tenn.; and Eddie Creson, Charleston,South Carolina; two daughters, Mrs. Eileen Coffee, Taylor, Michigan and Mrs. Eleanor Gullett, Marshfield, Mo.; 14 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held December 13 at 2 p.m. in the Dedmon Chapel with the Rev. Lynn Wood officiating.
Edsel Yeager sang several songs accompanied on the organ by Mrs. Letha Franklin.
Interment was in Hillcrest Cemetery under the direction of the Dedmon Funeral Home, Mtn. Grove
