MAUDE HOOPES
Maude M. Hoopes, 93, a resident of 10765 S. Buetel Rd., Oregon City, died in an Oregon City nursing home on Wednesday.
She as born to John and Nancy Myers (**John Traxler Myers & Nancy Melissa Epperson**) at Dodge, Oregon, on April 18, 1882. Maude married John Hoopes on Oct. 30, 1897 in Clackamas Co., OR. Her husband died 44 years ago.
Mrs. Hoopes lived for 60 years at 12502 S. New Era Rd., but moved to Oregon City where she lived for two years before entering the nursing home. She was a member of the Methodist Church and several years ago received a 50 year pin as a member of the Warner Grange.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Canby Chapel of Everhart and Kent with the Rev. George Boner officiating.
Burial will be at the Zion Memorial Park, Canby.
