Dot was born in Louisiana the daughter of Leon and Ruby Mae (Courmier) Garrie.
She was an Elementary School Office Manager for the Los Angeles City School District. She was also a member of the Faith United Methodist Church, active in the United Methodist Women, Associate member of the AAUW, member of the Orange Photographic Society, supporter of the Heritage Museum and she loved to travel.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Winona Spivey; and brother, Don Garrie.
She was survived by her husband, Warren Griffin; daughters and sons-in-law, Gail and Ken Meehan, Sharon and Doug Vick and Sue and Jim Cook; grandchildren, Jennifer Taylor and her husband Curt, Hannah Vick, Lucas Meehan and his wife Angie; great-grandchildren, Natalie Taylor, Meredith Taylor, McKoy Meehan, Korbin Meehan; many nieces and nephews and other family members.
