Bernard Eloia Beer, 67, of 209 Dotson St., Huntsville, died Nov. 23, 1995, at the Northwest Medical Center in Springdale. He was bom March 1, 1928, in Le Sueur County, , Minn., the son of Bernard Joseph and Veleta Ely Beer. He had retired from the United States Air Force in 1974 as a master sergeant with 28 years of service. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy and a veteran of the Korean War and the Vietnam War, serving in the U.S. Air Force, including Elmendorf AFB, Alaska and Trabzon Air Station in Turkey. He was a member of Saint John's Catholic Church in Huntsville for 21 years and served as finance and business manager for 20 years. He was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Virginia Marie Beer, and one sister, Mrs. Phyllis Beer Tolzman. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Anne C. Hutter Beer of the home, to whom he was married on Nov. 28, 1951; two sons, Bernard Beer of Harrington, Wash., and John Beer of Huntsville; three daughters, Mrs. Barbara Morris of Stonewall, La., Mrs. Mary Wolfe of Centerville, AR, and Therese; two daughters-in-law, Mrs. Molly Beer of Harrington, Wash., and Mrs. Hallie Beer of Huntsville; one brother, Willis J. Beer of Wasilla, Alaska; one sister, Mrs. Laurency Y. Malinski of Litchfield, Minn.; one brother-in-law, Harold Malinski of Litchfield, Minn.; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Ruth Beer of Wasilla, Ala.; and 11 grandchildren. The Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28, at the Saint John's Catholic Church in Huntsville by Father Stanislau Olesky and Father Tom Donahue co-celebrants. Interment with full military honors was in the Fayetteville National Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home. Pallbearers were grandsons. The rosary was said at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 27, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home.
