Dr. E. W. Imbody, Local Dentist for Many years, Dies

Dr. Elmer, W. Imbody, 64, Marion Dentist died at 2:17a.m. today in General Hospital of heart ailment.He had been ill since Nov. 20. The Imbody home is at 669 Concord Ave.
Born October 17, 1890 , near Green Camp, Dr. Imbody was a son of John and Alice Carey Imbody. In 1919 in Marion, he married Stella Baker. After attending Ohio Northern University in Ada, he recieved his professional training at the Cincinnati Dental College and he attended the University of Indiana.
He was a member of the American Academy of Dentistry, Central Ohio Dental Society, Ohio State Dental Society, American Dental Association, and Academy International of Dentistry. His office was at 280 West Center St.
With much interest in firearms, he was a member of the National Rifle Association , Ohio Gun Collectors Association, and National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association. He was a member of the Marion Lodge No.70 F A & M.
Surviving are his widow and three children, Dr. John Imbody of 354 Bradford St., Mrs. June Wills of the Netherlands, and Robert Imbody of Columbus; his twin brother, William Imbody of New Bloomington; and three other brothers and two sisters, Sherman Imbody of New Bloomington, Dee Imbody of Forrest Lawn Blvd. in Marion, George Imbody of Fies Ave., Mrs. Edward Ruth of near Green Camp and and Mrs. Ward Kinnamon of Prospect.
Private funeral services will be held tomorrow at 1:30 p.m. at the Ford Funeral Home in LaRue. Rev. Irvin M. Emmons of the First Presbyterian Church in Marion will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7:30 tonight.
