CHARLES BARNETT DIES IN HOSPITAL
Charles D. Barnett, 67, of Galigher street, died early Thursday morning at Bethesda hospital following a lingering illness of heart trouble. He was admitted to the hospital June 22.
He was a veteran of the Spanish-American war and past councillor of the U.C.T. He was a retired salesman for the Findeiss Leather company. Born at Rix Mills, he came to Zanesville in 1917.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Ada M. Barnett, of the home; a sister, Mrs. William Stone, of near Pleasant Valley; two brothers, John Barnett, of Rix Mills, and Watt Barnett, of New Concord, and a step-son, Miley B. Hellyer, of Euclid avenue.
The body is at the Bateman funeral home. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.

Funeral services for Charles D. Barnett, 67, of Galigher street will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the home of Rev. J. H. Kinney officiating. Burial will be in Memorial park.
He was a retired salesman for Findeiss Leather company. A native of Rix Mills, he came to this city in 1917, a veteran of the Spanish –American war, he was past councillor of the U.C.T.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Ada M. Barnett, of the home, a sister, Mrs. William Stone, of near Pleasant Valley; two brothers, John Barnett, of Rix Mills, and Watt Barnett, of New Concord, and a step-son, Miley B. Hellyer, of Euclid avenue.
The body was removed from the Bateman funeral home to the home Thursday evening.
