Funeral services for Alvis R. Toelle, age 87, of Fremont were held Oct. 4, 1997 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Fremont. The Rev. Timothy Gierke officiated. Burial was in the Beemer Cemetery. Pallbearers were Farrell Rung, Warren Ackerman, Lloyd Nellor, Elton Schulz, Gene Bergholz and Bill Wehrmann.

Alvis passed away Oct. 2, 1997 at Arbor Manor in Fremont.

She was born July 5,1910 at Greenwood to Alva and Katherine (Coleman) Zeigler. She grew up in the Lincoln area, and was a 1929 graduate of Bethany High School. She married Lowell Toelle July 18, 1937, at Beemer. They lived in the Beemer and Wisner areas all their life until moving to Fremont four years ago. She was a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Fremont.

She is survived by her husband; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Gary A. Carlson of Fremont; two sisters, Mildred Baker and Margene Teljeso, both of Salem, Ore. and sister-in-law Bernice Zeigler, of Salem, Ore.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Wilbur Zeigler and three sisters, Evelyn Carlson, Katherine Robinson and Leta Larson.

Memorials may be made to the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Fremont, the Lutheran Hour or St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Wisner.hhw
