Ruth Cardoza, a former Hollister resident, died April 2, 2001. She was 80. Mrs. Cardoza was born in Fresno and resided in Hollister for most of her life. She lived the last four years in Green Valley, Ariz. Mrs. Cardoza is survived by her son Anthony Cardoza of Redding, daughter Nancy Vineyard of Sahuarita, Ariz., daughter Cathy Giattino of Green Valley, Ariz., seven grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, brother Richard Miranda of Hollister, sister Delores Tufts of Santa Cruz, sister Beatrice Gill of Albuquerque, N.M. and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Cardoza was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Cardoza. A memorial Mass was celebrated April 10, 2001 at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church. Private internment will be at Calvary Cemetery.
