m. Mary Magdalena (Grosch) Kreiter – 10/23/1810
United with the Brethren in Neuwied, and came to be a very successful teacher in the Boys' School there. In 1786 he received a call to America. In Bethlehem he taught in the Boys' School until 1790 when he went with his first wife to Emmaus, having been ordained a Deacon of the Church by Bishop Huebner. Other pastorates were in Graceham, Donegal, Bethel, York and twice in Lancaster. Anna Johanna, his wife, died in 1808. He and his second wife, Mary Magdalena, served the Lititz congregation as Superintendents of the Married People, at the same time practicing medicine, in which he had considerable skill. Born in Schafhausen, Switzerland.
