He is survived by daughters Pamela R. Hampton and Wonda M. Hampton who were born in California to Gerald's first wife Lillie M. Henson Hampton.
He is survived by daughter Gloria Hampton Smith of St. Francis, Arkansas, and son Ronald W. Hampton of Paragould, Arkansas who were born to Gerald's second wife Brenda as well as grandson Phillip Hampton and two great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Norma Grooms Hampton, step-son Kenneth Swink, step-daughter Zina Norman, four step-grandchildren Crystal Baldwin, Robert Swink, Eric Swink, and Lloyd Norman, and seven step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his twin brother Earl Hampton of Greene County Arkansas and his sister Bonnie Hampton Revell of Michigan.
