OBITUARY: Eddie Y. Hoy
Services for Mr. Eddie Yestis Hoy, 76, 226 Willow, who died June 29 in a local hospital, will be Monday July 1 at 3 p.m., at the Knob Hill Assembly of God Church. The Rev. D.L. Bennet will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mr. Hoy was born December 22, 1891 in Christian County, Illinois. He had lived in Colorado since 1932, operating a bulk plant for the Skelly Oil Company in Falcon for 15 years. He moved to Colorado Springs in 1956 and at the time of his death was retired from the Rock Island Railroad.
He is survived by his widow, Alice, a son, Gene, and a daughter, Mrs. Hazel Simbro, all of Colorado Springs; two brothers, Harley, of Pana, Illinois, and Truey, of Decatur, Illinois; three sisters, Mrs. Faye Smith of Decatur, Mrs. Florence Seitz of Shelbyville, Illinois, and Mrs. Mae Nicols of Assumption, Illinois, nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. One brother preceded him in death.
