Dewey Hinton of Baton Rouge, native of the Beech Creek community, Winn Parish, passed away Tuesday.

Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Beech Creek Church with burial in the church cemetery.

Mr. Hinton is survived by his wife of Baton Rouge, the former Annie Mae Collins of Winnfield; a son, Douglas Hinton of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and a daughter, Mrs. Dick Robert of Baton Rouge; three brothers, Floyd Hinton, of Alexandria, Grady T. Hinton and Jerry Ross [sic Randle] Hinton, both of Oakdale; two sisters, Mrs. Peyton Meyers [sic Payton Myers] of Baton Rouge and Mr. Franer Kellcher [sic Frances Kelleher] of Odessa, Texas; and four grandchildren.
